Bladerunners retain top spot.

Not much time to chat today. The Bladerunners, after a minor week 13 hic-up, are back atop the Predator Cup standings and hold on to top spot in the Omnivore. They also join the Shadowmen in the +20 Club in the Omniore.

The Severed Heads join the 500pt club and manage to eke out a win against the Ramapithicines. Other winners were the Bladerunners, Shadowmen, Edge, Lost Boys and Knights Templar.

Here are the Stats heading into Week 15:

Anyone else remember my comment earlier that the new omnivore rating system was going to favour negatives?

I think we need a new system for next year. Our mid-season figures are embarassing. More than half the league is dragging at less than -30 points.

Surely there must be a better way of calculating "most improved team."

This is true Brian, but the Challenge cup would be awful lonely as the ONLY meaningless trophy.

We should just recalculate. A simple alternative would be to add the absolute value of the lowest score to everyone else's score. Last place would be 0, and first place would be 60 something.

At least it wouldn't look as bad.

It is possible for everyone to go positive, just hard.

I guess I'm just not all that bothered by the negative scores in the Omnivore knowing that they represent the 'perfect' baseline.

Richard's proposed alternative of adjusting it to be an absolute score is worth considering.

That said, I did a humanities degree, because I was told there would be no math.
