It all comes down to Saturday Night

Going into the final night of the week, there are two Challenge Cup games that are almost dead-heats. The Knights Templar are trying to hold off the Scourge to remain ahead of the basement in the standings. They are one point behind the Scourge in their game. The Highlanders have managed to close the gap between themselves and the Severed Heads to a mere fraction of a point as the Heads continue to react to the loss of one of their offensive stars, Jason Spezza. The Highlanders, as a result of Friday's action and three points from Corey Stillman and a pair from Anson Carter, have managed to slip back ahead of the Great Whites for 3rd in the Predator Cup standings. In the Omnivore race the Wolves, in spite of a very solid week, have crossed the minus 40 barrier while the Shadowmen continue to lead with a positive 37 pt gain. However it all comes down to the final night of hockey before Christmas. With 14 games on tap, everyone will have a chance to let their players redefine the week and the standings.

Well the Highlanders look to finish with >10 pts less than the GW's, but stay close enough on the week to retain 3rd place by a slim margin...more jostling after a merry ho-ho!
