Scourge Triumphant, Win Triple Crown; Barbarians Fall To Catch Wolves

Congratulations to Chris on his first Predator Cup, first Challenge Cup and first (though the francishe's, formerly the Dogs, second) Omnivore Award.

Mike Breakenridge's return to the FunHL was not as successful as he might have hoped with a Herbivore "victory" however Rob, Collin and myself are all pleased that he only made it really, really (like no margin for comfort) close.

Mike Getta was wondering about his Omnivore Score and certainly some of his Omnivore score was due to trades but also do to tardy promotions of some of his high octane prospects. I hope to put up a analysis of the Knight's Omnivore nightmare at some point not that I am picking on Mike (drafting better than anyone and some 200 points better than yours truly is hardly a criticism) but that Mike's situation is so dramatic that it makes for a great study of what the Omnivore is measuring - as there seems to be some confusion.

Great season everyone, enjoy the playoffs and hopefully we can gather for the NHL Entry Draft/FunHL Trophy Presentation and Slot Selection Extravaganza in a couple of months.

I echo Doug's Hail to the Triumphant Scourge now the New Emergent Force claiming the Triple Crown!

Mike B. welcome back but you shouldn't have got the Herbivore but a few more trades or promotions - who knows, but you got a bright future next year. I need to design a new T_Shirt with your logo on it...invites to All if they wish a new logo for T-Shirts at next year's entry draft. You certainly came close to 4 other GMs in the end!

Now with Chris showing the that the Winners circle isn't exclusive, it opens the field. Unless he repeats. Ack!

Doug - Great job Again - you work tirelessly on the stats and its one of the thankless needed requirements for this pool to function. Without you, nothing happens!! Thank you So very much.

Brian - My shout out to you for the Master Spreadsheets to keep us in line. They are also needed and you don't thanked enough!!

Playoffs Start Wednesday!

Just noting the distance between ninth place and last, being seven points roughly, and the difference between eleventh and last being less than 1.4, perhaps Mike Breakenridge of the Barbarians has the right to ask for a full season recount. Doug, you always mentioned to me the fact that the stats were sometimes problematic. This may also be the case here. I only bring it up it's so close at the bottom and, for the sake of fairness, of course, if the Barbarians don't wish to challenge, don't worry. I think (but I worry about the fairness factor when we already know about some irregularities with CBS Sportsline) -- sorry Doug, to bring this up -- just as I wrote that you work so hard on this in the post above, here I am making this statement. Apologia; do what you think is appropriate.

If Mike wants me to look at it, I will. It is close and agree that it may be close enough to warrant a double check. That said, he would need to be the one to ask.

I appreciate the offer Doug, and I do wonder when it's that close, but really if I had played Sharp this week instead of believing that he'd be out all week like I heard it wouldn't be an issue. I should have known he wouldn't miss when they needed to win to get in. Fun season everyone. Rob your lucky! Congrats once again to Chris 3 times over. Next year that's my spot!

I will try to gracefully hang my head in shame over this year's herbivore. Unfortunately I agree with bob I shouldn't have got it but I was busier with finishing school than I expected and so couldn't focus on making trades. Injuries at key times also hurt. Oh well it was fun!

Also Corey could have fallen if most of his defense +/- took the last game off. He's lucky as well :)

I would just like to say:

Thanks to my assistant GM Bob for filling in on the WD drafts for me and getting me in trouble with the wife for excessive phone charges :)

Thanks to Doug for all the stats work and supplying my daily fix. I am not sure how i will deal with the withdrawl symptoms until next year.

Thanks to Brian for the constant master updates, even though they are still upholding their current trade embarko against the scourge.

I look forward to winning the Herbie next year and fulliflling my destiny of having my name put on all the trophies.

Chris
