Re: ENTRY DRAFT eligibility, Rule 10.11

A) A player may only be selected in the Entry Draft if he has already played a minimum of one NHL
- regular season game OR
- regular season or playoff game
and is neither dead nor on the NHL list of retired players.

B) This applies to all ED picks
- except FPs OR
- except FPs and UFAs (ie selections in Rounds 1-10 of the ED)

Since no one else has commented, my preference is as follows:

A) A player may only be selected in the Entry Draft if he has already played a minimum of one NHL
regular season game and is neither dead nor on the NHL list of retired players.

B) This applies to all ED picks
except FPs

Count me in favour of the rule as Dan outlines here.

Count me in favour of this reading as well.

Sorry, to be clear, I'm in favour of Dan's amended reading.

I had thrown that idea out there but the support for it was underwhelming to say the least. The point of a compromise proposal is to bring people together but the disagreement does not appear to be resolved with my other proposal so I'll go with my preferred option.

As Dan has it above would be my preferred option.
