While the Highlanders continue to lead the Predator Cup race (the lead is now over 10pts), the phenomenal resurgence of the Edge is the real story of the week. +4 for Malik, 6pts from Ovechkin, 5 from Jokinen, Spezza and Doan all helping to produce over 39pts (best in the league so far) this week and we haven't even started the weekend! The Edge are back and are out of last place - at least for the moment. If the Edge's performance over the last couple of weeks has shown anything its that no lead is safe and that a lot can change in a very short period of time.
The Challenge Cup playoffs continue with the home sides trailing after two periods. The Shadowmen hold a narrow lead over the Bladerunners while the Highlanders have a 10pt lead over the Severed Heads.
