Proposal #6
For Waiver Draft Two ONLY, ALL players selected would have RFA status (whether they did before or not) except for dropped promoted prospects who retain their previous status.
The benefits of this proposal would certainly be increasing player valuations for undrafted players; a pick-up of 2nd half performers would now be RFA; and 8 "new" RFA players per team
Thank you,
Bob
Since I hope to see WD2 gone, vote No.
ReplyDeletehaha Dan -- but what if WD2 still exists? this would make it more valuable for some
ReplyDeleteI vote NO though ... although for different reasons than Dan :-)
I think it is interesting idea. definitely worth considering to make wd2 more worth while as I hope it stays around
ReplyDeleteThe Shadow votes YES
ReplyDeleteUncertain what rob voted as he left a comment
Yes
ReplyDeleteTemplar votes NO.
ReplyDeleteWe already have too many players locked up, and I do not wish to carry on with WD2.
If WD2 is not gone, does your vote change, mike g. or dan?
ReplyDeleteNo - I don't see the value of WD2, and adding this wrinkle to try and make it more meaningful is artificial and does not really reflect how the NHL (and hence the pool) work.
ReplyDeleteI would suggest that the fact we see a need to add this is further evidence that WD2 has limited utility and should be discarded.
Just my $0.02 :-)
No.
ReplyDeleteLike Dan, I see it as a futile way to make WD2 meaningful.
Several GMs do not bother to commit time to be online, this has been going on for several years.
lol - I am voting No same as Dan and Mike but for exact opposite reasons . kind of funny.
ReplyDeleteBrian for Bob:
ReplyDeleteRESULTS: 6 Yes, 3 No, 2 Abstain, 1 Quit = 6/12 .. Proposal does not pass
thank you for participating
