ANY OTHER RND PREDICTIONS?

7 comments:

  1. Just some comments:

    - Kipper seems to be going awfully high given he's been in steady decline the last four years. I wonder how Nabokov doesn't go instead.

    - Corey's history going way back, is to take D-men with his first (two or even three) picks. I'd slot Rafalski or Boyle there instead of Naobokov or Kipper. Further, assuming Nabby is gone to the Edge as per above, I can't see Corey taking a risk on Kipper in the first. Collin might because of his love for the Flames, but I don't think Corey is so blinded by home-team love.

    - The only other question mark for me is Dan taking Alfredsson over someone higher scoring, like Semin. Alfie just lost a 100pt winger, now has the notorious puck-hog Kovalev to split duties with and a new defensive oriented system to play in. Plus, he's now older than dirt. 4th overall? Seems way too high to me.

  2. I'd be happy with any of those 12! If Dan wants to leave Alfie for me, that's cool.

Ok, Bob asked for prediction of another round:

    22nd rnd (looks pretty good!)

    SH: Ryan-L ANA
    SC: Valiguette-G NYR
    SM: Okposo-R NYI
    BR: Backstrom-C WSH
    LB: Vermette-C CBS
    WLF: Toews-C CHI
    RAM: Pominville-R BUF
    EDG: Boyd-L CGY
    GW: Stastny-C COL
    KT: Hanzal-C PHX
    PV: M.Staal-D NYR
    HL: Green-D WSH

more than one good choice in the last round for some teams... so I picked what I thought was the most valuable (more fun that way). A couple of those guys might stick around as prospects for another year.

  3. Also, given the PIM he brings, I can see Dan bidding on Perry at pick #4 and forcing a match from Corey in the first round. That is if he is serious about pursuing a RW with his first pick.

  4. I thought Perry is a Templar now which i expect will be Mike's 2nd pick...

  5. Here is a prediction I can guarantee.

    Match on Perry...new FP

  6. Taking Mike's information into consideration and with my own suspicions on Kipper's relative value;

HL - BIDS ON Malkin- matched, takes Getzlaf, C -ANA
    PV - Datsyuk,C DET
    KT - NEW FP - Perry-R Ana
GW - BIDS ON Phaneuf - matched, takes Parise-L NJ
    EDG - Nabokov, G SJ
    RAM- Boyle-D SJ
WLF - NEW FP Phaneuf, D CGY
    LB - Savard,C BST
    BL - LeCavalier, C TB
    SM - Markov-D MTL
    SC - Semin-L Wsh
    SH - NEW FP - Malkin,C PIT

    Looks more realistic to me...

  7. The only thing is - Mike is more likely to take Parise as FP with pick #3 and then Perry as his 2nd FP in the 2nd round. Unless Doug or Darrell want to take a gamble bidding on Perry of course.
