Line-ups for Week One Due Friday at 6:00 p.m. Mountain

Hi Guys,

Week One starts this weekend with the European games on Saturday October 4th and Sunday October 5th. Week One "resumes" with the North American games on Thursday October 9th and continues until Sunday October 12th.

I would love to say that I'm all ready to go with my stats sheet for this weekend's games but, well, I'm not. I'm hoping that I will be ready to go once the North American puck hits the ice but no guarantees.

That said, the Challenge Cup games are also set to get going with the following Week One Neutral Site Games on tap:

Wk1
Bladerunners vs Shadowmen
Great Whites vs Wolves
Ramapithicines vs Lost Boys
Highlanders vs Edge
Personal Vendetta vs Scourge
Knights Templar vs Severed Heads

Drop the puck!

  2. Here is the Bladerunners' previously submitted line-up:

Thanks Gonchar for all the memories! I think the Hockey Gods passed judgement on my having too many Oilers in the franchise (just one is normally an unprecedented number for the Bladerunners, let alone three!)

Line-up subject to change - getting out early as its looking to be a hectic week...did I thank Gonchar yet for adding to the misery?

  3. The Predator Cup Champion Severed Heads are pleased to open the season against the Knights Templar.

Hopes for the team to repeat are expected to start with Malkin holding his position as one of the top handful of offensive producers, with Dany Heatley moving back to the 50-50 level from last years 40-40 performance. Osgood will have big shoes to fill with the departure of Nabokov in free agency, but the pressure is really on for Vincent Lecavalier - the player the Heads invested in rather than roll the dice a second time with Nabokov. With lots of forwards to offer both scoring and fisticuff support, the Achilles heel is likely (again) to be found on defense.

    In any case, to defend the Predator Cup, Severed Heads mgt offers the following lineup;

L: Dany (Crash) Heatley-Ott FP, Patrick (dead man walking) Elias-NJ FP, Hartnell-Pha RFA TG / Ruutu-Car RFA

    C: Evgeni (Wingspan) Malkin-Pit RFA, Lecavalier-TBay, Brind'Amour-Car RFA/ Forsberg-Col RFA

    R: Satan-Pit, Neil-Ott TG, Afinogenov-Buf RFA / Havlat-Chi RFA

    D: Timonen-Pha, Kronwall-Det, Letang-Pit, Bieksa-Vcr, Kuba-Ott RFA, Bergeron.MA-Min RFA / Stuart-Det RFA, Jonsson-Min RFA
