Bourque missed a penalty shot with Gretz on the bench in 1998...no gold for him...Could get the Cup with BST so he left...But he has multiple Norris Trophies etc...And Mario made look like a fool...Lidstrom multiple Cups, Olympic gold, multiple Norris...loyal to DETReally, to -> Neither are as good as Orr!!!
Loved Bourque but he may not have even been the best d-man in his era (depending on your view of Coffey/Housley/Leetch) whereas Lidstrom's reign was, IMO, unrivalled.
