I was being serious - we spend hours trying to build our lists projecting points over 82 games (or in the case of Gaborik 30 games).
When players start hot we know it won't last, but don't care - afterall, they are producing.
But when players start off cold we are forced to confront our version of the prisoner's dilemma - is the player underpointing and worth holding on to as we wait for the hot streak to balance out the cold? Or was the prediction wrong, and the player sucks?
I wasn't mocking you, just pointing out the universality of your situation.
