There is a 'possbility' that Richard and I are doing a deal - I have checked my inbox on Shaw but no message from Richard. I can't email out as I have none of your addresses at work. Sooo, if he has sent something or sees this blog before 6 pm, the Bladerunners will accept the following terms:
Arnason-C COL
Shadowmen 1st
Edge 3rd
for
Savard-C BST
I believe that confirms the trade, but I suspect that the lineups can't be adjusted to reflect it till next week.
ReplyDeleterichard's new line-up change is okay but I forgot to make mine ... Savard therefore hits the bench in Arnason's spot and McDonald continues to dress.
ReplyDeletePrice I paid was a perhaps a little steep compared to what Bob and Rob paid Richard in their deals but I hope that obtaining Savard is worth it.
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to forgive me for hoping it is in fact a futile gesture, a soul crushing mistake your season never recover from.
ReplyDeleteIf I may, I thought it was a particularly shrewd trade Brian. You offered me more than anyone else could, at really no cost to yourself: you're unlikely to draft prospects next year, so can toss those picks around, and you were benching Arnason.
ReplyDeleteMy personal hope is trading for Savard next year clinches it for you--And then I'll cash in by staying at your place for next year's draft :)
(But an excellent trade)
Richard
You can always crash at my place regardless of making a trade, or even if you kick my butt in a trade ;-) I'm not in the habit of tossing around assets for fun - and I quite enjoy drafting in the first round - but yes, I believe Savard is an improvement.
